Description I got this groovy new filter from Sheryl for my birthday! Thanks hon!

How odd everything looks. This has had the colours swapped a little bit, and the clouds whitened back.

so magical

PSPX <---- will save .pspimage files that PSP9 cannot open, ask tech support and they'll say hard cheese! Yet, find the save-as screen and choose the option to save on PSP9 format to rectify this (if you need to like I did with a PSPX trial licence only ) I see Corel are anxious to stop us sticking with the old Jasc application!

Very cool. I'm sure this was a nice scene in "normal" light, too, which is something people new to special effects, like IR, often overlook. Nice one!

Reminds me very much of a scene from The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe by C.S. Lewis, with the White Witch on her sleigh.

Just curious with infrared filters can you use normal film or do you need IR film??
Great photo by the way.

If I might butt in, here, it may have changed in recent times, but probably not, so the answer is maybe. You need special IR film, but you may or may not also want a filter. There are special ones for use with IR Film that are quite different from the digital ones, so be careful if you're going to buy one. The filters for IR film merely enhance the effect; the ones for digital actually create the effect, but only when used on digital cameras. You'd probably get a blank frame, if you used one with film.

Not sure, as I'm 100% digital. I guess if you used IR film, you wouldn't need the filter?
