Wonderful shot I love the gemsbok as well Maybe this is a pretty wierd question, but if you remember, what kind of fence did they have at the Gemsbok exhibit? I'm working on a homework where we're designing a stable, exhibit and everything and we don't have any gems at our swedish zoo's Was it just a simple wooden fence, with or without electricity or well, maybe you don't reember all that but maybe something?

They have an 8 foot chain link fence. They're more durable than wooden fences, allow some visability, and they can't jump them. The fence at the back is still lined with trees so they don't try.

Lovely oryx! We've got Arabian Oryxes in St. Louis (I can send you pictures if you'd like), but I really like the sharp markings on regular oryxes. Nice shot. Do you have a zoom or telephoto lens?

Oryx gazella! A very nice photograph of a stunning animal. Oryx are simply beautiful, and Gemsbok are one of the most spectacular in all their arid glory.

I've never been to the Dallas zoo, but perhaps I will someday. Maybe I'll even end up working there one of these days. If you ever get any good shots of an Okapi, be sure to post it!
