GYAAAAAAARH. I actually managed to finish this on time for the due date. The deadline was yesterday at 1:15PM, I finished... at 12:45PM. D:All in all I'm pretty proud of it, considering I only had about a week to come up with a storyboard/animatic and a month to animate the whole thing (during which school was closed for two weeks for Christmas). After all, everything's hand-drawn, then inked with a brush pen, and brought into Photoshop for the colours... and Photoshop is not meant to colour animation, trust me. Ugh.
This isn't something I'd send around in festivals, but it's definitely portfolio-worthy. I learned a lot of technical stuff I'll surely use again, namely the flickering texture, and perhaps the wobbly inking, who knows.

Wow, lovely animation. I just love how you drew the character, plump and lumpy like a big plum, her little bun blowing every which way in the high-altitude wind. And the backgrounds here were just spectacular, like something right from a picture book. Very nicely made.

Oh wow. o-o That was messed up. Anyway...Depending on how you interprate this, the look on her face right here, to me, looks like she's thinking "Oh...just a little longer won't hurt." You can just tell she enjoy i! ^^ Wonderful.

fantastic little short. Reminds me of my dad always telling me that when he turned 60, he would start taking skydiving lessons so that when his mind got to the point that he forgot to pull the cord, it wouldn't matter.
It was really touching and had a lot of meaning behind it for something that is such a quick little piece. That look on her face as she let go of the cord kind of just summed it up. She was ready. It made you wonder what kind of an awesome life she had, and who was waiting for her on the other side.
