Here we have my new OC, Iddo the angel! I like to think Iddo's Job would be to help people find comfort and encourage them during trials and hardships in their lives; he's a sort of "peace angel", if you will, bringing hope to the world at the command of the Holy Spirit. He's not really a high-ranking angel, but more on the level of a usual "grunt". But! He loves doing what he does, and is always eager to bring peace and hope to another lost soul in need. ^^

This is the first time I've ever named any of the angels I've drawn, so that's pretty fun ~(^-^~)

For those of you who've seen my angel drawings in the past, you may have noticed that Iddo only has 2 wings as opposed to the 6 I usually draw angels with. That's because my previous angel doodles are all of Seraphim, which are a type of special, 6-winged angels mentioned in the bible as directly attending to God himself. Iddo, however, is more of just the "standard" angel folks think of when they think of angels. While they seem to have a variety of appearances throughout the Bible, they're traditionally drawn with 2 wings.

I wanted to go for a more intense lighting/shadow contrast then usual, and while it was a bit hard to get right, I'm very happy with how it turned out. I think I'll keep working more in the future on getting more interesting lighting, it was alot more fun then the simpler lighting I tend to go with xD

I've already got a few more drawings of this character I'd like to make in mind later, but there's other projects I'll be getting to first. At any rate, I hope y'all like how this piece turned out! Cheers, everyone! Hope you have a swell day! (~-w-)~
