J'nanin age from Myst III - Exile.Stared at a screenshot of the tusk for ages to get it right but the the background's more 'inspired' rather than accurate

Purtyful!! I think the lack of background items makes the tusk and hut stand out even more, which makes you appreciate the beauty of it...IMO.

In Adobe Photoshop with a tablet.
In detail? Sketched everything in first then I blocked it out in basic colours before 'scribbling' the shades on top. Used a textured brush for the tusk stripes and put some filters down over the rocks and tusk as well near the end.
Layers are your friend
Cloud brush for the clouds as my original clouds were masquerading as cotton wool.The link for them should be...um, not sure. They're called JS_CloudyBrushes so there should be someone called JS on deviant art here with them.

How bout the shadows on the rocks? Burn/dodge? Or a special brush?
