Wow, judging by how the buildings look, I think that's St. Thomas Aquinas College. And I agree with everyone on this being a reminder of what Christ did for us.

the man is a soldier. This scene is one of 12 leading up to his crucifixion. And he's carrying the cross, he's not attached to it yet - Pontuis Pilate made him carry it through the streets as a form of humiliation.

May this photo remind us all of the eternal price. Thanks for sharing

That is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen (well, not the scene, but you know what I mean). It reminds us everyday that Jesus died for us, and we must remember that. Thank you sooo much for posting this...

The guy that is hitting him is a roman solidedr and he is whipping Jesus so they can crucify him, but with them doing that, Jesus saved us all from eternal dammnation.
