Did he ever make this into a movie? I've only seen one of his movies based off The Light Fantastic.

I wish -_-
As far as I know, there's the Hogfather, the Light Fantastic, Soul Music and Wyrd Sisters - which are animated - and several radio things. There's probably more that I haven't looked into.

Yup, that's her. There's a handful of other watch characters too, but no Carrot or Nobby.

It's been so long since I've read Guards, Guards! May have to pick that one back up after I'm done with The Godfather. That is Corporal Carrot's first introduction, yes?

I believe so, though that's one I haven't read yet. I've got it now, and I'm going to try and read the remaining watch books in order.

I think they're listed in order in the first few pages of each American edition, starting from the Color of Magic.

Ah kay. Don't recall if I have that one. I know I have a couple of the guards books. What was the first TP book you read? Mine was Pyramids.

I knew I wanted to dive right into Monstrous Regiment, cause Igors and Vampires and women in drag and yay! But I read the Color of Magic, Light Fantastic, and Equal Rites first. They were all right, but TP got way better after establishing the disc a bit.
Good Omens got me into it all to start with ^_^

I'm so behind on all my reading! I tried to read 5th Elephant but just couldn't get into it for some reason. Same thing happened with Jingo. Are there any TP books you just couldn't get through for one reason or another? Hopes I'm not the only one!

I don't think he's terribly good at beginnings. I usually struggle a bit to stay focused through the opening, but it's always worth it when the story starts.

Jingo and the 5th Elephant? I've only read Elephant, and loved it. It's got Vimes being very intense all over the place ^_^

*snicker* Oh, Mal... you really need to learn to quit when you're ahead. Or is it just the glee at tormenting Polly? We may never know for sure...
