Description some lettuce and tomatoes that i painted at school.
my teacher showed me some of the properties of oil paint by going over the background and tomatoes a little bit.
I like how it turned out!! I learned how to paint a little more colorfully. hehe

haha! i like still lifes that make me want to eat vegetables too, but then I often remember that they taste kinda bland without seasonings.

THIS ONE is a painting
you also painted the lettuce? its NO PHOTO? its drawn by hand?! i seriously cant tell. i can SLIGHTLY tell when i look at the tomatoe but the lettuce. it totally looks like a photo and i dont see how this is a drawing. OMFG is all i can say i guess

yep. they're paintings. When I look at them I always see all the places I want to go back and fix, but that's the curse of painting I guess.
thank you for the comment.

I'd so go there if I hadn't already spent about 40,000 on a useless art degree from a shitty school.

Northwest College of Art in Poulsbo, WA. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! Such drama at that school!

I hear that alot about different art schools around the country. If deviantart could make a feature for it I'd have them make a standing poll for art schools so that they can get ranked for their worth.
I'm just absolutely lucky to have the teacher I have.

Actually, the other day I tasted my ink. We're doing "mark making" at the moment, so I used my tongue. It tastes foul.

And I have a black tongue.

I like acrylics more than oil paint! It is easier for me to do. MAN!!!!!!!!
You have such friggin' mastery, it blows my mind! And this is from life? I'm taking a painting class right now, and it is haaaarrrd...fortunately it's with the best art teacher I've had. She's helpful, and knows what to say when I ask her stuff! So I bug her all the time. I'd like someday to be able to capture beauty like this in my pictures.

This isn't a painting from life. that would be near impossible for me at my level hahaha. The still life would have rotted before i was through!! I work from photographs to acheive precision.
I appreciate the comment and the fav!!
