My first thought when I saw this was "Cool, nice photograph." It wasn't until I read your comments and went to full view that I realized it wasn't a photo, and even then I had to look very closely to see the tell-tale signs of a painting. Masterfully done, possibly the only time I've ever faved a picture of some veggies.

It's amazingly realistic! Hehee, I want to eat them! the highlights and shadows really help to make it look realistic

I really thought it was a photo, I thought why does she put a photograph on paintings, then I watched it, and saw the structure of the canvas. But I think it still looks like a photograph, so good

That could be a part of it. The quality of your tools is paramount. I'm pretty sure i would not have acheived the same results with colored pencils!

We were using watercolor pastels, (which looked suspisiously like crayons.) I was not very good with those.

This is not true.... I'm.... just impressed, lack of words to explain.

How long did it take you to finish?

maybe... 2 weeks in total time painting it. that's like... 120 hours or so. I couldn't have done it without the prior year of graphite training I took. so that's almost like saying the painting took me a year and a quarter. LOL.
