Another art challenge with my sister!!

This time we decided to draw Ariel from The Little Mermaid movie.

I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome because this time I tried many new techniques in photoshop. Thanks to my sister, I learned a lot of new stuff within this last 2 weeks. Basically I didn't put too much effort on the drawing but for the coloring, I tried to create a crazy color mood. Again, inspired by my sister, I used many color adjustments and it came out really interesting.

For the concept of the drawing, I tried to make Ariel comes out from the watery background. It looks like she is dissolving and to enhance it, I put black outlines around the features that are far from the background. For her skin, I didn't want to make a normal skin tone, so I used blue to represent the sea and warm glow of yellow for the sun. For the bubbles, I tried to create a bubbly-like effect and I think it looks really nice and fits to my color tone.

And because this is an art challenge, I put the link to my sister's drawing which I think it looks FANTASTIC and TOTALLY AMAZING!!!

Again, one more trophy for her! And that comes down to 2 for her and 0 for me (awww....) But that's alright, there will be more and more art challenges to come and I can't wait to see what's next on our list!
