Happy belated birthday to my awesomest friend ever ! I wanted so badly to get this finished on time for her birthday (may 16th) but for my brithday (the 13th) my dad got me a new big hard drive for my computer to fit more stuff on so my computer was down for 2 days. 8( I even skipped school on thursday to try and get it done but I was not prepared for how long this thing would take me. I wanted to get it right and didn't want to rush it. She deserves it to be perfect so I stayed up until 2am some nights, working on this. Let me tell you man, this piece was worth every ounce of effort. This girl is one of the greatest things that have happened to me. She's always there for me, she's helped me pull through all the tough times and has always been supportive. Let's not forget the constant treats she gives me with all the glorious works of art she makes for me to cheer me up on a bad day or even just for the heck of it. She's the one person in this world that I would put aside jillions of hours to give her something in return for her amazingness. No words can express how much Icki means to me....
I love her!

I think I broke my eyes.
Alright, so Icki likes pirates so this scene instantly popped in my head. I thought of the POTC movie and how there's white sand and the beautiful cyan water.... and yeah, the pirate ship didn't come out as good as I'd hoped but I did it to the best of my ability. I don't know how many times I erased and started over, even with my first shading techniQue I had to re-shade the characters cause I didn't like it.
Dantes is such a hottie. I LOVE HIS HAT! Sooo much fun to draw these two.

I know Icki likes Jack Johnson so I incoorperated some lyrics from his song "Better Together". It just suited so perfectly:
