this image has very well rendered and exposed highlights.
if you could bring out some detail in the shadows, the image would be better.
for contrasty scenes like this, you could try to use 3 shots and superimpose them in Ps.;
this would give you good detail in both highlights and shadows.

i just had a look at your original and i can see that it can easily be interpreted in lots of different ways that would all look very nice.
you could have fun making many variations and put them here on DA.

because of that I like digital photography, because you can do what you want in a very easy way

right, so much more versatile than film, and the digital images' quality is getting to be quite good.
a couple of weeks ago i saw on DA some photos taken with the new Nikon D800, it looked better than any 35 mm. film; of course, the lens has to be of extremely high quality.
