Description
This picture took so much patience to get. (4 days of sitting out a few hours at a time)I had gotten close a few times, but couldn't get one in flight. It was also hard because everything had to be in manual focus. They are so fast, my camera could barely keep up with them and lock on. I also had to sit 5-6 feet away to make sure my flash was able to freeze their wings. I might be able to sit a little farther back but I only have a 200mm zoom for right now. This one isn't as perfect as I'd like it to be. I'd like it to be just a little darker, but it was getting late and the hummingbirds were heading in for the night. Although with this brightness it really brings out the colors.
