Paul Jennings books made my childhood.
I really like how you did this, its so bright and absurd just like Paul Jennings, and the parrot looks every part the annoying creature, and seems to be laughing at him.
I really like it, Its in my favourites and wishlist now! Well done!

Ha, I think his books were a staple to a lot of kids lives. I know my mum still reads his books to her students every year. They are the kind of stories that sit in the back of your mind, never really forgotten.

Yeah he does, did you ever see the 'round the twist' series based on his books? I think it was his books anyway. Eek my childhood was so long ago!
I think the boys face pretty much makes this picture, and the parrot's expression in contrast. It's so goofy and oblivious.

Yeah they showed them a couple of years ago here but I didn't know until the series had almost finished! Yep, it was his books.
