This is very Russian-looking. I grew up on their fairy-tales and I can't stop thinking that this would be a great illustration for some of those stories.

Oh cool, I love the baba yaga stories. I used to have a book of them when I was a kid and I miss it.
Thanks!

Ilove the technique you've used. so many parallels and straight lines yet theyproduce so many beautiful curves and waves - in the clouds, her hair, the ribbons, the plants all forming wonderful curved shapes that echo each other. I'd love to have seen a bigger version of this.

I loved the way you put a magical flow in this piece. The movement from the hair to the plants connects your goddess to the earth in a subtle way.

Excellent piece. I'm always glad to have stopped by and view your work.

Oh thank you, I put a lot of work into laying out my pictures and it is nice to know that there are those who notice.
Thanks!

I don't feel qualified to give you a critique because your work far exceeds anything I'm capable of. But, I'll try.
I love your use of negative space. Your art work isn't defined by where the black spaces are, it's the white space that is important. The way you are able to stop your line to display the light reflecting in her hair is amazing. The patience associated with your hatches on her clothing and in the field is inspiring. And the image captures movement in her hair, the ribbons on her dress and the tendrils rising up out of the bowl.
I can't find any flaws.

Wow, I really love this. Great use of multiple textures...I know how hard that can be. This is obviously publishable work and worth putting up somewhere besides. I'm trying to think of a useful critique, but dammit, I just can't!
