this is a sloppy animation i did with the gimpits storyboard,lol (i drew it the night before i made the animation- the idea came to me before i went to bed- why do creative ideas come to me always before i go to sleep-its the worst time of the day to come)

Btw I noticed that you somehow associate red hair with ferocity… How come? :> Oh, and the ending reminded me of two things: first, the tiny ghosts from Princess Mononoke and second (which was quite random), the death of the milk box in Blur’s “Coffee and TV”.

i believe that red, the color of blood and wine is a good pick, because its a color of alertness, its written in human consciousness, that color has a meaning. Plus red - struggle,life, ferocity, rage can be a good contrast to blue - peace, death, calmness, indifference...
Just wanted to have some color in the piece,but not to much color (which would mean more work)

Oh, don’t get me wrong, I think you totally got your message across and just like with Leo’s character, the red hair was an awesome touch. But I have an unhealthy obsession with redheads and in my twisted mind they’ll always be cool and attractive (we’re all crazy in our own peculiar ways, you know 
For me the blue spirit at the end symbolized tranquility and it created a perfect opposition with the gory death (and how the hell did you come up with the biting-the-guy’s-head-off storyline, it caught me completely off-guard

i have an obsession with people's expectations for my art.I dont want them to know whats coming next.Whenever its a surprise,i did a great job, no matter they like it or not. If they dont expect it,then i'm real happy i made it and it was effective and unique.
I do like redheads ,blonds and anything thats rare to be natural (i know most girls dye their hair) , leo is a redhead, i chose him as an avatar,because his design was satisfactory and i do wanna make him part of another project,which is going to be doomed if i talk too much about it.
The bite off guy's head storyline is good,exactly because its edgy and unexpected. The meaning is clear- a female creature,living in a box, the guy opens the box after playing with its mechanics,thinking that some music is going to come out probably (i would have added music as he spins the thing if it was in flash,ehehe,like a music box), but a redhead ,obviously girl savagely bites his head off, clean off his shoulders.
So you have jack-in-the-box kind of thing, having a female head instead of something else,adds some depth to it and makes you wonder and ask me such questions...thats the goal of it, you wonder why its like that,you want to know and ask, and thats when i know i did a great job.
Thats exactly what david lynch does when making movies so weird- such movies that i like- they have depth,emotional depth,and its hard to understand and has dual meaning,they are mind riddles, like a toy for the viewer's mind.
Ordinarily and predictable stories are no toys for the mind,you never remember them.This one,you obviously is not one of them.Thats what i struggle to achieve!

I think the best achievement of any artist is to provoke people, to make them think and seek the true nature of things… I honestly believe that if you get their attention once, they’ll keep coming back for more (until the day you screw it up or something). Reinventing and experimenting with your art is a pretty good way to stand out from the crowd of lambs that are afraid to make a step forward and explore new territories, so to speak. I think you got that right :>
As far as the meaning of art is concerned… Personally I’m looking for subliminal messages everywhere, even in places where there are none
Now go explain that to a society of consumers who just want to be entertained
