Mikage Kikyo from Wolverine anime. The first fanart of its kind in Deviantart
I was attracted to this character when he first appeared in episode 2. He's such a typical samurai pretty boy with katanas coming out from his palms. And I love his name.
And then in episode 10 to 12, I'm totally in love with him!!
Go watch it and you'll see why.I love it when Wolverine calls his name I love it even more when Kikyo calls him Logan

I actually saw him on Blade first and was like when I seen him on Wolverine, "He's on here too??!!! Is he in all the other marvel anime as well?! 0.o. And I'm surprise Marvel anime isn't as popular as I would have thought. :/ they deserve more mainstream time than just on G4 near midnight. :c

The hardcore fans wouldn't enjoy it since they definitely don't want Japanese influence to 'ruin' the western originality.
Lol..I believe the sequence was Wolverine first, then Blade. That's why he was already familiar with Logan in Blade.

Oh I knew Wolverine came before Blade but I just saw the Blade series b4 it is all.
Oh yeah and the die hard fans, forgot about those guys. Usually I hear people going on about manga and anime more than American comics so I guess I might have forgotten about that. Really only see them at comiccon or at comic book stores.

The X-man anime art style looked very western IMO. Wolverine is as ugly & hairy as the western original

he could be deadpool after losing his memory somehow cus remember he said "i owe you for taking me in when i had no memory" to his master and considering that he is alot like deadpool other then his his personality thg id rather it not be deadpool and him be his own person. i think thats who he is thg hes awesome either way

In "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" Wade Wilson gets turned into Deadpool at the end, and he has Wolverine's powers of healing plus his sword comes out the same exact way. Also they cut his head off to finish him thinking it is the way to kill him. Of course this anime took a cool interesting twist on many of the characters we know, but you can't argue the fact that he has similar characteristics with the guy at the end of Origins.

Please...so not Deadpool. Their powers are different. He's more like Wolverine. I'm thinking his memory might have been wiped out when they turned him into a mutant...much like what happened to Wolverine.

okay 1st off: sorry for my lack of clarity i meant before he become deadpool 2nd: mutants lose and or gain different powers all the time in the marvel universe and have you seen x-men origins:wolverine? deadpool gained a whole ton of power then supposedly lost most of his powers and become deadpool 3rd: there are a unlimited number of alternate universes in marvel so who knows? maybe just maybe this is deadpool in a different life 4th: ARE YOU F**KING CRAZY?!!!! wolverine was born a mutant not made one from some experiment or some s**t all they did was cover his bones with adamantium they did not make him a mutant! though it is possible that kikyo was made a mutant by some s**t or other but i don't think so again i think hes just deadpool in a new take on him in a different time before wolverine lost his memory that is. and if it so happens that im right i think this is the coolest deadpool yet

Oh..now I know why you brought up Deadpool. I saw Wolverine movie again last night and Deadpool (or Wade) has a blade that comes out of his knuckle. Kikyo's blade comes out of his palm...with a handle too 
But anyway, I never read X-men and saw very few of the cartoons. So I don't know much. I saw a discussion on the net about Kikyo if he was also part of the Weapon X like Wolverine.

Thank you for drawing Kikyo. I watched both 'Wolverine' and 'Blade' (randomly came across them) and I liked the anime that much only because there was Kikyo in them. This is the only drawing of him I've ever came across and it's excellent.
I found his character to be really interesting (I dislike heroes, really, as I do generic cliche villains).
In any case, you did a great job.

Yes, there are 12 subbed episodes already, last one came out a week ago. Blade is like the 4th of Marvel anime series. I didn't watch the other two because I am not the typical hero fan at all. But in 'Blade' they tell more of his back story. I loved it as well as Kikyo's role in it. I feel like they have to bring Kikyo back again sometime because he is great and his back story isn't told and left hanging.
A question, I've read on your profile that you do drawings. How much? If it's something I can afford, I would love to have another Kikyo drawing.

I saw Blade. Well, not all the episodes. I was skimming the episodes to see where Kikyo appears. I don't really like the series. Everything is too dark and gloomy. But I'm there's a little bit about Kikyo's past. I'm thinking maybe there won't be a full story on his past since he said something about not having memories. Blade said Kikyo had lived very long. Most likely he's like Wolverine, about 200 years old? O__o

Well, I found the back story interesting. And their fight interesting. That was my main focus of the series, too.
Well, generally I would say they make a character like that - without the memories - to see how well his story goes. If he becomes popular enough, they as well might expand on it. I think so at least or hope.
Oh, that is... something I can do. I would like to discuss how we would do it. Like... I am an aspiring young author, wishing to be published one day and I use fanfiction to learn how to write. It worked really well for me so far. but... very little of modern things (stories or anime) inspire me. FF7 was and is one of them. But I need variety sometimes. So I decided to write about Kikyo, only I need things to inspire me.
Therefore I would gladly accept your terms. In fact, gladly is an understatement.

I was glad to see more variation Kikyo's facial expressions. He appeared rather calm in Wolverine but in Blade, I got to see his twisted smile not knowing he's even capable of it. The speed of his healing factor is wonderful for special effects.

Well... in Wolverine he is just doing a routine job. Blade is far more personal as far as I can see. Personal always evokes emotions. You can actually see him angry and momentary helpless in one of the flashbacks. He is a fun character, all I have to say.

LOL. I liked the entrance a lot as well. To me it makes no difference if a character is or is not a bishie (one of my favorite villains who I never wrote about though is a burnt mummy-looking creature 
I liked that Logan more, to be honest. But in any case, he is quite simplistic for me. I also watched X-men movies, but again a lot of fans say that canon comics/cartoons and movies and esp. anime do not correspond, but then... hm... not that I really care.

Those must be the hardcore Marvel fans who like their original Wolverine. I'm not a big fan of Western comics so I obviously prefer the anime version.

Not every character I like is a pretty boy because sometimes I am drawn to their personality and story...example Kratos from God of War.

Oh yes, they are. There is even the X-men recent marvel anime, but there Logan is more 'canon' I would say. But nah... I didn't watch it. No Kikyo.
Oh that would be Makoto Shishyo from Kenshin. As always, I hate the main character cast, I love the villain and Kenshin's (the main character's) master who is like Kikyo, just a side character. Why oh why...
I agree. A story and personality has to be attractive. In fanfiction, sadly, a lot of people set out to write a character who they just don't understand.

LOL. Well, I don't think doing a job is as important to him as following his code or fulfilling himself through the fight, so yeah... Plus, Wolverine is his ultimate counter-pick. In the final episode of Wolverine, if you remember, after the credits, they meet up at night and fight it out on equal terms so to speak. It was, I presume, a stalemate.

Well, Kikyo is a fun character. I was happy to see a character who doesn't have hero epiphanies, like having his strength and speed doubled because he thinks of all the dead people he once loved, etc. He is who he is, just does his work and wins if he has enough skill. And obviously takes a lot of pride in his abilities. And hones his skills. Cheap heroes (who are speeeecial for no reason) annoy me greatly as well.
Yes, Logan appeared in Blade's 7th episode very briefly. I actually likes him relaxed a lot more than in his state of constant mindless rage in 'Wolverine'.
Mind you, I also know nothing about X-men comics (only some movies) so I don't even know how canon he was portrayed.

I saw episode 7 and Logan is so relaxed when he isn't on a mission to save anyone. I don't know a lot save for some knowledge from watching X-men cartoons. For a bishie fan like me, I prefer the anime version.
