Description

No matter how many challenges or good deeds the hero faces, he/she is going to face many villains along the way. However, there’s always that one villain that tops them all. This villain makes it their personal mission to defeat the hero and usually possesses more of a threat then the others, this is the archenemy or the hero’s arch nemesis. Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog are one of the gaming industries most iconic heroes, while they have fought in Death Battle it’s time for they’re archenemies to fight to the death!

But put them together in a battle to the death... who will be victorious?

*This fight will be between Eggman and Bowser only, while they both lead armies we’ll be focusing on their personal skills. For Eggman’s case we’ll be focusing machines he’s piloted more then once and that’s iconic to him*

Battle of the Arch Nemesis!

Eggman – Sonic the Hedgehog’s mustached nemesis. Dr. Ivo Robotnik while an obese yet athletic madman with anger issues, is a scientific genius in his own right. With an IQ over 300, Dr. Eggman with his incredible engineering skills aims to rule the world with his army of machines. While Eggman has created some powerful and devasting robots, he too would a pilot a death machine of his own to fight his blue adversary and man does he have some favorites. Eggman normal flies around in his Eggmobile, a fast-single man pod that comes with many features. It has twin mounted machine guns, can fly, can become a walker, has a wrecking ball, and can fire devasting missiles and lasers. Most useful feature of the Eggmobile is its vast compatibility to operate almost all of Eggmans machines. One machine in particular is the humungous Death Egg Robot, this 16’5 walking tank is equipped with spiked rocket arms and laser projectiles that can fly. It is incredibly slow but very resilient to attacks. In recent games he’s brought back and upgraded more than once (3 games so far and is in the Archie comics), probably one of my favorite machines is the Egg Dragoon. The Egg Dragoon is one of Eggman's most powerful and versatile creations to date, its design being derived from years of research on Sonic's movement patterns. This monster of a machine has many weapons in its arsenal and wings that can fly speeds faster then or equal to Sonic’s. Its thick armor makes most of its body impregnable even against Sonic's attacks, it possesses a lethally efficient selection of weapons that harness fire, lightning and ice elements. It also has enough physical strength to tear apart ground and rock with ease. The large drill on its left side can be launched as an electric homing missile that Eggman can reload without limit. Eggman can also use the drill as a close combat weapon as with one swing releases a massive wave of electrical energy. Most of the Egg Dragoon’s attacks are its cannons on its right side. This cannon functions like a gatling gun that can launch a barrage of fireballs with every spin setting the ground ablaze. The cannon was also upgraded to spew multiple beams of fire over a wider range. The cannon can also focus ice into a concentrated blast which could freeze anything solid upon contact. Its feet are also ice cannons that can not only fire rapid blasts but also freezing waves along the ground. The Egg Dragoon can change shape and spilt into two independent units unleashing two attacks at the same time called “Separation Attack”. Its arms could be reconfigured into massive blocks for flattening foes, mainly Sonic. The Egg Dragoon can even operate on its own. Eggman is vicious and clever, he's an expert at manipulation by playing his opponents right into his hands. He's also strangely durable, fit enough to compete in the Olympics, survived a black hole, captured and controlled the Time Eater which is an entity that can manipulate time and space, blew up half the moon, rediscovered and freed Shadow the Hedgehog, has made machines that can harm Super Sonic, and can actually keep up with Sonic running! While dangerous and predictable, he can be overly obsessive to the point of overlooking some important factors to concentrate on a single goal. As stated before he does have anger issues and while his machines are very resistant to Sonic’s attacks he has yet to figure out to protect the area he pilots his machines which is how Sonic wins every time. Eggman’s ego is a fault as well, whenever finding a new ally or powerful energy source he automatically assumes it’s his to control and command. Examples being Chaos while working with him at first than betrayed him, how he tried to force Lyric the Last Ancient to obey which resulted Lyric hacking Eggman’s own robots including Metal Sonic to fight against him, and when he tried to control the Seven Deadly Sins.

Bowser – Mario’s fire breathing archnemesis. King Bowser Koopa is the leader of the Koopa Army who has been an arch-enemy of Mario commonly trying to get control of the Mushroom Kingdom by kidnapping its Princess Peach. Despite his appearance Bowser is a schemer and never gives up his goal for domination. Not only is he clever, but he’s really tough as well. With a turtle-like physiology Bowser seemingly has a indestructible shell that can take an insane amount of damage. His shell has a set of spikes which he can shoot out like a cannon. Bowser is armed with razor-sharp claws and teeth. He also has a set of weapons like hammers, spike balls, and Mecha-Koopas from his flying Koopa Clown Copter. While pulling off the look of a dragon Bowser can breathe fire like one too, from streams to fireballs. Bowser can shapeshift and grow in size as big as a castle. His strength is boosted when huge, strong enough to pick up a castle and throw it! He’s tough enough to survive a dip in lava even with his skin melt off, a pint blank supernova and sucked into a black hole more then once! He’s even competed in go-karting and the Olympics. He’s even proven to be a fearsome foe in Smash Bros and in Smash Bros has the ability to become Giga Bowser. Giga Bowser is a giant demonic Bowser with not only increased strength but has the element powers of darkness and ice for close combat purposes. Despite his intellect and abilities, he continues to underestimate his opponents and the traps he sets up usually end up being used against him.

“Hey... guess what, Mario! Breathe a sigh of relief, because it'll be your last! Know why?! Because this is finally the end! THE END OF YOU!”
