Sorry for old reply, but meh, just was doing an old rechecking and I saw this.
Anyway, the 'ryuda' in the name was kinda a bit random. I primarily wanted 'ryu' one way or another in the name to hint more of dragon links, but didn't wanted to go with something like 'Karyumon', would have sounded too close to Lizomon's higher forms.
So I think that's why I put up 'ryuda' instead.
And yeah, I'm the creator of the Karyudamon digimon. There's actually a chapter in NT3 that gives out explanations on the Karyudamon...including a little bit of explanation as to why this exact Karyudamon was there. >D
