try making journals and just posting note things in groups saying you'll do art requests! that might help!

alright, that's fine! sometimes i try and look at fanfics and stuff, draw something similar, and say i was inspired by it, sometimes it's good to make a link to the fanfic too! (if you want to do this, that is. just a suggestion~)

True, but I can't really use other fanarts for reference. I wouldn't want people saying that I'm copying their stuff, so I only try to use reference from the creator, alone.

oh, i usually use bits of fanart like the way the hair is shaped or body references to create my own, not tracing or copying, otherwise i would credit the creator i DID heavily base my piece off and say i was inspired by the original artist. your ideal is great too! i never actually thought of using hussie's work!

Aww yeah~ I do use other reference for body shapes, reference from human photography, reference from other animes, regarding face shapes and hair styles, things like that.. ^_^ Makes sense.

try drawing your head canons for the kids and work your way up to the trolls? like appearance, hairstyles, height and the like! it's fun! (i've yet to actually make one, haha)
