I had a totally different idea in mind, but the overachieving part of me was just kinda like, “noooooope let’s do this instead” at the last moment lol… I’m sort of saving that idea for another drawing because I’m like that (not because I want to draw another galaxy… definitely not… okay but it was really fun drawing the background xD)

XD that was literally me today, I had to make my drawing 10x simpler after realizing I wasn’t going to be able to finish lol.

Your lighting and background are so good, I actually need lessons from you asap!! The light doesn’t look airbrushed, but it’s still soft enough to have a glowy effect. (Have you seen my ugly airbrushed lighting, it’s so bad XD). 

I wish so badly I could do a galaxy background this good!! The stars and colors correspond with each other so well, and the way you drew and placed them is 5 stars TwT

And her pose and outstretched hand!!! I’m hiring you to help me with unique posing from now on . You’ve improved so much on hands (no joke you’re already way better than me). You’re on your way to becoming the next sasucchi with the shading too d( ;w; )b.

side note, I was drawing today (woah, Moon drew?? Incredible!! Ok sorry X’D) and then I got really into the zone. So I drew for 5 hours and almost finished, but then I realized I had stuff to do and scrambled to get it done pfft. this is what happens when online classes exist. You forget they exist XDDD . I thought it looked pretty good, but knowing me tomorrow I’ll wake up, look at it, and think “eww who drew this”

Edit: As expected, I woke up and I hate it sm XD The eyes are hideous and way too large, nothing is proportional, and augh jsdflaj

I’m the type of person who refuses to simplify anything unless I absolutely have to. So if I have a choice, you’d better bet I’m going all out xD

AGH really? I think it looks really airbrushed xD I did try using a cleaner brush, but it just ended up looking weird -w- But, to be fair, I did use an airbrush… xD for lighting, all I do is select a color I used in the background, fill the character with that color, set the layer to multiply, and use an airbrush to erase the parts where light would shine xD I kind of wish I had SAI so I could try some of the cooler brushes, but I’m really bad at using a drawing tablet and idk why lol
OMG WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! Your lighting is legendary and we all know it *O* You’ve got it backwards, I’m the one who needs lessons from you xD
wahh thank you… I watched a tutorial on YouTube so that might be why xD although, I kind of just took the basic ideas of the video (because I didn’t even know what a galaxy was supposed to look like xD) and winged it lol The stars took me under ten seconds to do because I created a brush a long time ago that made small dots that resemble stars xDDD

NOOOOOOOO that’s not true!! I will never be able to surpass your hand-drawing skill level *O* idk man, it took me such a long time to actually draw the hand xD I spent a while just sitting there, redrawing it over and over again, until I left and retuned to the drawing… when I drew it perfectly in one go >:000 I’m so mad omg. Like,, I think I was just lucky or something xD

I have to say… I am somewhat proud of the shading on her clothes xD but the hair shading just. Annoys me!! Argh. I hated my old way of shading hair so I just like sprayed some color on her hair and called it a day xD I need to experiment with a new hair shading style xDDD

(omg but that is so true. We all see online school as an insignificant aspect of our lives, but in reality… it exists and its true purpose is to destroy free time internationally) Whaaaat no I’m sure it looks amazing!! You’re too hard on yourself to see the true beauty of your artwork *sobs*
okay but that’s me though. I was really proud of this before I submitted it, but then I revisited it and now I want to pull my hair out >:000 like AHH why is her neck so small? why is her body facing the camera but her face isn’t?? plus her right arm is just wonky while her left looks flat. I want to cry now—
