Description
Persephone was a goddess of spring and one of daugthers of the harvest goddess Demeter. The god of the dead and the underworld fell in love with her and didn't bother with courting, he simply abducted her and tricked her into eating pommegranate seed which tied her to the realm down under. In spite of that they eventually got marrried and she became his queen. However Persephone's duties were still needed above, with her mother Demeter, so the trio of Persephone, Hades and Demeter made a deal, that Persephone would come up and live with an work for her mother during half the year, between spring equinox and fall equinox.
