Sub theme: Spring fun
Entrant: Nami, the Rattata (and her trainer Matt)
Here's my first entry for the PokΓ©mon Super Contests, held on dA. It's the cute category, so I entered Nami. Seemed like the most obvious choice. Heh.
Anyway, the sub theme is 'Spring fun'. I think most people will enter happy, cheerful pictures of their PokΓ©mon frolicking in fields of pretty flowers in various neon-colors, so I decided to try something else. You know spring isn't just about the sun shining, the flowers blooming and birds chirping, right? Spring is also all about rain. At least it is in most parts of the world. So here's Nami, sporting her rain gear, because she honestly doesn't care what the weather is like. She'll have fun either way. ^__^
By the way, I doubt that my entries for the second and third rounds will be quite as elaborate as this one (the background wasn't exactly easy to make). Just so you know.

I don't know yet. This contest has three rounds, and this picture is just my entry for the first round. I still have a dance round, and a move round coming up.

Well, you've already seen it.
Round 2 is still going on, and we basically just wait for the other contestants to finish their 'dance' pieces as well. The deadline is next monday, or something. [link]
After that, there's Round 3, the move round. That will start next week. Everybody has to draw their PokΓ©mon performing their cute-type move. My Rattata will be doing Tail Whip.
When Round 3 is over and all the entries are in, I basically just sit back and wait for the judges to decide who has won. The winner gets a certain amount of points, which they can then exchange for prizes. That's how it works.

ha funny thing is that here where i live it doesn't rain untill late summer. I like never rains. Ugh. I love rain and i love Ratata... well untill it evolves into raticate and then i hate it. I love this and i hope you do well in the contest! Good Luck!

i despise golbat. I aboslutely hate it. I hate how i can't travel in a cave without having to run into fifty of them a second. I hate hate hate golbats.

I actually ran into them so often, that I now have three shiny Crobats. THREE!!
But still, I do appreciate Golbat for one quality, at least: the fact that it gives 2 effort points for speed when you beat it. Seriously, if you want to EV train your PokΓ©mon for speed, go into a cave and whack Golbats for a while. Works like a charm.

Ha the only shiny pokemon i ever caught was a shiny torkoal. It was amazing it was all gold and pretty.

It's a special moment when you run into your first shiny. At first you think your game must be glitching up.

ha i had actually ran into one a few minutes before but accidentally ran away. I was so excited to run into one again so soon.

ha it wasn't that i was surprised. it's just that when i need to get somewhere quickly i just run away from all the wild pokemon. I ran away without even realizing it was a shiny one until it was too late.

It almost happened to me a few times, but I managed to restrain myself every time. XD
What bums me out is that I ran into a shiny Chansey in the Safari Zone in Firered one day. I actually came close to capturing her (three wobbles, and then she broke loose, arrgh), but then she ran away. Since then I avoid Safari Zones like the plague. I prefer to run into shinies the old fashioned way, so that I'll at least have a decent chance to catch them. XD

Aw that sucks i hate the safari zone too. it's to hard to catch the pokemon you really want. I really hate the Diamond and Pearl safari zone. There is no reason to make you stick in the mud like that. The safari zone is stressful enough without having to worry about wasting all your time trying to get out of mud.
