The idea of capturing a simple stranger and giving them life in a drawing is so simple, but so fascinating. I love how you're able to create something so elegant from such a simple concept.

This looks like a great photo study! I love the shading and the detailing here, especially in her hair! Her facial expression is also wonderful, and I love the way she stares off as if there is a lot on her mind. This is wonderful!

To start off, I really like the composition a very simple portrait very well done. I see that you're not only using smooth textures. I like those rough lines of the smeared make up.
It gives it more of a stylized feeling. The skin is very well rendered some parts are smoother than others that gives a very realistic effect. The light is hitting the figure and that is represented in the drawing. Maybe a harsher light could have given it a more exaggerated feeling. Chiaroscuro is a great way to create very dramatic portraits. I still like how the soft lighting in this one renders it very smooth and calm. The texture of the lips is rendered perfectly. Where the light is hitting the hair at the top is also very well done. The proportions look correct. The eyelashes and eyebrows could have been a little bit more detailed, yet not detailing them adds to the very soft look this portrait has. I understand this was a quick photo study, but maybe adding different colors to the skin could have added more dimension to it. Maybe as you work with your observation skills you can work with the more creative side. This will have both your left and right side of the brain working simultaneously which will work miracles with your skill. Overall, it is a very simple, smooth, and beautiful work. Love it. keep up the good work.
