Hrmn, your hands are curled and covering your neck, which gives an impression of...not fear but a guardedness. Not fear because your eyes and mouth are relaxed. I get the feeling you're dreading some news, something that will hurt but not physically, so your covering yourself but prepared for impact.
I kinda like it, but I have mixed feelings, 'cause it makes me wonder what else is happening. The haziness (don't know the tech. term) gives it a kinda dream-like feel, but I'd rather a starker image to emphasize the realism. I do like that your eyes almost vanish into the backdrop before sparking to life, makes it almost ghostly, which is cool.
