Description IT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!!

Ned as Crow and Jojo as Tom Servo from my HHaW/MST3K cross idea

I did a bit of background to play around with the bit of how Servo seems to kind of sit on the bridge counter instead of "hovering" behind it (Servo's a hover bot). In my thought to transfer this over to Jojo, I thought it'd be cute to either have Jojo sit on the counter, stand on the counter or even stand behind the counter on a stool (that he will most likely use to climb up and down to and from the counter). This is him sitting, obviously.

Crow's big enough to stand behind the counter (MSTies, have you see how long Crow's legs are??) therefore Ned gets to stand. And according to HHaW movie posters with Ned next to Horton, his height fits just right with Crow's if we're replacing Horton with Joel/Mike.

Let's talk about Ned as Crow first. Above all, I felt bad for taking out his tie, but it had to be done to show off the black lining of his gold Crow vest. I also made his white collar two-thirds black and flatted down so they could match Crow's shoulders. Then, to match Crow's net, I combed Ned's hair to fit Crow's hair style. Sadly, now he looks a bit like he went to the Chairman's barber Other than I messed up his arms, I did like this drawing of Ned, especially his right hand folded inward reminds me of Crow's claw, perfect!

Now that I've seen earlier episodes, it's hard to see Ned take the role of Crow. Crow's crass, crabby, sarcastic, rude, things we'd love to see Ned do even if it's not in his nature. Then at other times we see the fun side of Crow that fits Ned well, so who knows.
Then again, it would be fun to hear Ned should Crow-isms like "Oh bite me, it's fun!" and "I'm gonna grab a step ladder so you can jump up my butt!"

Now to Jojo as Servo. This one was easy to dress Jojo as Servo: tiny his fur red. Now he looks like he's in feety pajamas! Then, to top it off, I combed back osme hairs on his head to mimic the top of Servo's bubble-gum machine head, and at the last second tinted it red, it works!

I can so see Jojo fititng into Servo's role, mostly. Servo's sarcastic, can be mean, fun, suave, and at times likes to break out into song. Though Servo never shuts up, I can still see Jojo working well as him. Now when Servo gets kooky crazy fun with his friends, well... I think Jojo would be hessitant to join in, but someone has to play Servo.

I SO love Jojo's pose here! I was going for him sitting relaxed, like they're just hanging out in space for a week waiting for the movie. But that face I gave him, priceless! Reminds me of the opening host segment of this episode [link] though I was really going for this sketch here [link]

I miss that show. Can you get them all on DVD yet or just a select few?

they have over a dozen on Rhino Home Video DVDs, but over half of them are out of print now (damn bastards trying to limit DVD productions like Disney)

however, all but the first three KTMA are on a special website called Digital Archive Project, though they warn you need a special DVD burner program and lots of bandwith and time

other than that, some of the eps are on youtube, you just have to look hard enough because they're hidden from the youtube snipers who pull off stuff that are deemed "infringing copyright." seriously?? what the hell do you think the tape circulation was in the 90s, and that's what kept the show alive!

I wonder why they're being so weird about it.

I dunno, but if you want to know where some eps are I'll note you a goldmine (if youtube found out about em they could be gone like yesterday)

I've watched over half a dozen eps now, from Manos to Monsters A-Go-Go, it's quite easy especially if you have an hour and a half to kill, and if not, people splice the eps into nine, ten or eleven ten minute segments, so you can just pick up where you left off

Ah. I have some episodes on VHS somewhere. I used to tape the a lot back in the 90s. I recall enjoying the Sinbad one... and the one with the guy named Lemon Kinan or something... which may be the same episode.

I grew up on the scifi eps, I have Werewolf and either Giant Spider Invasion or Prince of Space (maybe both) I also have both Summer Blockbuster Reviews and Academy of Robots Choice Awards specials

now I watch the comedy central eps, mostly the Joel ones, and long for what I missed (when I found MST3K comedy central just canned them )

Is the giant spider the one with the Skipper from Gilligan's Island?

I believe so, and the crazy preacher and the most backwater redneck family ever

psst, there's a channel on youtube that has no life except adding MST3K videos, youtube picks off a few links a day, but there's at least thirty added a day too, the trick is to watch what you want to watch fast (usually the newly added ones) I'll note you this best kept secret if you'd like

I have trouble watching things on line though. I need a TV screen.

ha, we need some way to do that. if people can get VHS tapes online, can't we go the other way?

Well, I know VHS tapes can be transferred to DVD. Guess that's the only way.
