Is it completely scupley? Did you have base or filler or anything? The reason I ask is because I was thinking of creating something, but there isn't much clay in the little boxes and I was wondering if you used anything to keep it firm. Does that make sense? btw... Your work is awesome! I love the details you put into everything.

Yeah, I had an armature and then used aluminum foil so that I would not use so much sculpey, make your figure small so you don't use so much sculpey. Make sure your armature is small but strong use foil to fill in the gaps, not to much because once you start building and carving it might start to show so be careful. Have fun!!

the trick with baking sculpy is to bake at a really low temp, like 120F for a long time, like 30-40 mins (unlike what the box says)... then when you turn off the oven leave it to cool, not opening it and leaving the sculpt inside. this lets the interior and exterior cool at the same rate so it won't crack, and the low temp won't let it burn ^^
but it looks great, and i hope the baking didn't damage him! ^^

Thanx so much for that! I will put it to use, since I have a ton of sculpey pieces to bake.

no worries! i'd hate to see you burn or crack your stuff after all that work!
and it all depends on the size of the sculpt, but the main thing to consider is low temp, long baking, and LONG cool down! the longer the cool down the less likely it is to crack :3

cool, you did that with original scuply. Impressive, I could never get it to do much when i was younger it was too soft and i didn't really understand armature.
