This is my first attempt at using chocolate like this... so lol it's only up from here hopefully, more neatly done in the futureThis is a 2 layer dark chocolate cake, masked in a mixture of dark chocolate, corn syrup (for shine) and... lots of butter... lol and the chocolate ruffles are pure dark chocolate

umm well i covered the back of a sheet pan in melted chocolate and let it harden in the fridge to the point where it's not completely solid, but it isn't liquid either... and then used an offset spatula to do a ruffle... it's hard to explain! if you google chocolate ruffle, there's videos!
