Nothing as bad as the Carnival Night Zone's stupid barrels, though... I must have spent days jumping on that thing before I found out you had to hold up and down.

Yeah, lots of people had that problem, including me. I must've spent at least a week jumping on it. That's how that stupid barrel got nicknamed "The Barrel of Doom". Yeah, doom by TIME OVER!

I miss the days when the enemies in Sonic games were all unique and creative. This was always one of my favorites in Sonic 2 because of the little baby turtle riding it's back. Hell, the 'badniks' were the pokemon of their time, I remember Sonic the Comic even doing a card series of them.

Damn straight. That GUN robot shit that they were doing are downright crappy. In fact, in order to tolerate the series, the only games I acknowledge are Sonic 1, 2, 3 +Knuckles, CD and the Rush series. Nintendo's redesign of Sonic for Brawl was great; now they need to just change Robotnik's name back and maybe we can get back into the swing of things...

I can't see them ever changing Robotnik's name back, seeing as that was always his name in Japan, although I did like the idea of Robotnik being his surname, or something. Here's hoping there will be a Green Hill stage in Smash Bros with him flying in every so often to swing his chain-ball about

At our place regardless of what games are out, Sonic 2 and Super Mario World get played full through at least 3 times a year.

Very cool. I remember those guys. Not sure what Robotnik was on to come up with the idea of a little robot turtle flying a larger robot turtle. It's not as messed up as Dr. Wily's catapulting robot in Megaman 3.

Robotnik's robots were always so ridiculous in the old days. Man, a little part of me keeps hoping that that 'other Metal Gear' they mentioned in Smash is like, Robotnik and Wily teaming up to make a Metal Gear Bowser or something just as ridiculous with yellow and black stripes everywhere like in the old Sonic games.
