Honestly I feel like Scott is the only person who gets the right side if the fandom. No R34, no "questionable" shipping. He respects his own fandom, and people can't deal with it because he at least gets more money than them, and they're triggered because of it. So they try to take him down with harsh words and simple childish hate.
This is why I respect Scott, he knows what's right about the fandom, the theories, the actual lore, and many more reasons. He even shows respect to those who are childish and hate on the game. And heck, I don't just play FNAF, I play his other games too, The Desolate Room, Chipper and Son's, and even his christian games.
I completely adore Scott for the way he does his work and plans everything out for people to find with theories. He's trying to entertain people who actually enjoy the good side of the fandom, which I mentioned above, and I can relate.
I'm on the good sides of the fandoms I'm in, I don't draw porn of the overly popular character, I don't force people to ship two of the characters. I enjoy the fandoms for the games, and the games themselves, because they are well made and have inspired many people to follow in his footsteps.
Sorry if this is long, but I just wanted to say that before a troll came here and spread nothing but asshurt comments about how "bad" Scott is.
And if anyone who thinks the same sees this, thank you for thinking this way as well, because you know the true reason of why Scott continues to make the games and merchandise.

It's in no fault of anyone criticizing Scott's work that he released the Five Nights at Freddy's games, and it is in no way their fault that they dislike it.

There's a difference between acknowledging people are going to complain about your game (this happens to literally every game, unless it's so shit nobody even knows about it) and making an unnecessary post that's practically begging them to continue.
I think people blindly worshiping him is honestly worse than people who disagree with his work. You can't improve from generic compliments and often shitty fanart. If he doesn't care, fine, he'll have a more difficult time improving the series so that more people enjoy his work, his loss.
This third paragraph is honestly so irrelevant and dumb I shouldn't be giving it a response but I don't expect to achieve anything. Making a statement on how petty he is on a DA post he'll never see isn't going to do anything, I'm not retarded. I don't think I'm acting like I'm leading a rebellion either, more so saying it's pathetic he has to bait negative attention like this.
All in all I think that encouraging people to ignore negative attention can be harmful to their improvement, and if they just listened to the faults people have with their content they could improve it and make it more enjoyable for a larger audience, rather than saying "Lol if you don't like it fuck off ecks dee" (Obviously paraphrasing, only pointing it out because you seem the type of person to misinterpret things.)

I'm not a game designer but it would seem like everything is a legitimatly flawed product for someone who does not like what they are presented with and goes out of their way to look for flaws in said product.
So if you know some people like what you do, and some people dont like what you do. And making something that will convince people who didnt like what it was before boils down to changing most of everything, then dont even bother.
Because all you will do is piss in the porridge of your fanbase.
So original fans will hate you because you threw them under a buss, new players will hate you hecause its still a legitimately flawed product to them now, and you will most likely hate yourself because its no lonege YOUR game, but the game of all the ungrateful fucks that strongarmed you into forsaking your idea for some quiet.
