Description Float up, weightless, drawn to the sky--full of it's freedoms and dangers. Fly away.

I've always wanted to draw my dreams. This was inspired by a dream, but the girl isn't suppose to be me, though it was me in the dream. I used to be so terrified of storms, but always wanted to fly, thus this was a common dream/nightmare for me as a child.

All in photoshop, and now my hand is in pain.

I've always wanted to get my dreams out on canvas too, but I'm not technically proficient on the details yet to do so.

though really, I haven't tried hard enough, I guess.

and now you've found my other flying dream piece
Dreams, or at least mine, are difficult to depict. They flying dreams are perhaps the easiest because it is a simple action. A lot of times I have dreams involving people and places that make little physical sense. Faces are often distorted or missing information.
As I've learned the visual vocabulary of the world around me it is easier to manipulate it and create my own.

my dreams that I'd like to paint... I can see them exactly in my head how I would want them to look. exactly.

the fact that i know specifically what they should look like is kind of daunting.

Very true. Sometimes that can be much harder.

I love the perspective (just the same as everyone else). The whole picture tells a story; it's very thoughtfully detailed. And I love those moody clouds.

This is really good. You would be great at children's book illustrations with the color and whimsy in your images.

Looks to me more like she's falling than flying, but either way, it's nifty! I love that angle, and the stormy-type lighting - the brightness contrasting with the stormclouds.
