Description Furrowed


Went out today to take photos with some friends.
We went down to the beach and saw that the water was very low,
so you could se the furrows in the sand which the water had created.
It had very interesting and smooth patterns.

I did the photo b/w in PS and then added a slight sepia tone. Then I added a gaussian blur on a duplicated layer, to get the smooth effect.

Awesome shot. Love the addition of the blur here, the smooth effect works very well. It's almost perfect, except that the added blur created a little bit of banding in the upper right corner. Hard to avoid, but I might suggest trying a couple of different things. Maybe in that area try a blur with a smaller radius, or maybe a couple of layers at different transparancies. But really, that's just a minor detail...the rest of the image is just stunning.
