I like the idea, but honestly, I think this looks a bit too fake. I'm not sure what you used for this, but it almost looks like watered down barbeque sauce. I think the pin straight on shouldn't be there, it seems like it's only an uneccissary and dark blur. I ONLY critique because I think that the idea and execution have huge potential. It's not meant to be mean ^.^ For something more effective, I suggest using red food coloring mixed with a little black to give it the richer blood look, without being too thick or fake looking when taken in light. I think the pins would be perfect without the one straight on as well (in some strange way there's a compliment lol). Again, I really am nitpicking your image only because I think you have the professional look going on, and as someone who is a perfectionist, I believe you can do better. All around as far as composition, i love it. (wow that was a long comment )

Nice, and it gives me kind of the Trevor Brown-ish kind of vibe to it too.

Usually I don't gravitate towards the bloody photography, but this one really caught my attention. It's very badass, very in your facee. Even the position of the hand and the angle of the shot is cool!

Out of each of the needles through the finger shots, I can't say I liked the angle any were shot at, but if I had to pick one this would be it. I like the concept behind this(even if I don't quite understand). I like the fact you used sewing needles, and most should know that sewing needles are fairly dull and won't go into things like flesh that easily, so it really helps capture more pain in that way. I also like the one needle that sticks furthest out on the left, and the bit of blood that is near its end, but not the drop of blood near its top because that did not indeed come in contact with the hand and I therefore don't understand how it got blood on it. Another issue I had was with the raised bandaid. I understand it needs room so you don't indeed poke yourself at all, but you need to be careful about how far the bandaid goes off of the skin because that takes away allot of realism(in my opinion) because the way it could get off like that was the needle(that I had spoke of before) had been somewhat pulled out and the bandaid came off the skin with it, and why would you be pulling the needle out? See my point? So I do like this one and its definately getting added to my favorites. Good work.
