Personality: Hanekke is tender-hearted, loyal and caring person. She tends to be dependent on somebody and if you are her friend and tell her to commit suicide, she'll definitely do it, because it's for you. But don't even try to betray her. Hanekke seems as a calm, childlish and kind girl that would never harm anybody and anything, (she even asks berries if she can pluck them!) but her reactions on a treachery equal insanity. Her scale of anger moves from silent sorrow to rage followed by screaming. She may not even touch you, maybe she'll just kick to a stone next to her (and then, in tears, say sorry to it), but that's not sure. Hanekke may be sometimes moody and annoyed, especially when you ignore her, but next day, she's again smiling and sometimes even joking around.
Hanekke isn't very self-confident, she always depreciates herself and she even makes light of her injuries, because "I am not as important as others." And she is absolutely serious about this sentence. If you are ill, no matter who you are, she'll make you teas and soups and stuff like that. Strength: Botanic prodigy. Definitely. She can cook thousands of meals of roots or berries, she can make medicines and teas from herbs, she is able to survive only thanks to plants. Elsye and me were running, holding our hands. Trees were going by us. Full moon seemed to laugh into our faces. Stars were no longer giving a soothing light to us. Everything looked so strange now, so unfriendly and cold.
"Do you think He has found it out?" I breathed out and stopped. I was exhausted. My body was so thin and fragile that I couldn't run for a long time.
Elsye was strong and tall opposed to me, but her limbs were bruised and hair ripped out. He has harmed her.
"I don't even want to try find it out," answered Elsye and looked behind, gulping. "Maybe he hasn't. So now, he is probably dying. That poison was strong." Suddenly, Elsye hugged me. Whereas other people were disgusted by my grubby face and straggly hair, refusing to help me, Elsye didn't mind to embrace me. "Thank you," she said with tint of happiness in her silent voice. "I hated Him so much."
"It wasn't His fault, you know," I answered a bit sadly. "Mom died. He felt so sad from it."
"But sorrow is not an apologize for this!" Elsye stepped back and pointed at her arm with purple and blue flecks.
"Alright then. If you think so." I didn't dare to don't agree with her. But maybe she was right? Do you try to kill someone when you are sad?

"No," I would say today, "of course not. But if you are sick, you see everything differently."

Hanekke remembered only strong fear and pain. She remembered big and heavy raindrops. And loneliness.

She was trembling, she felt cold and scared. She suppressed vomiting and turned at Kuchi. They were friends for months already, but they were standing on the same place as they met, Hanekke looked like a corpse and Kuchi was watching her with compassion in her white shining eyes.
"Why is this happenning still? I want to forget it all. I don't want to be in this... state. I don't want this all! I am weak. And murderer. And I have only you and that little bird."
"Then just... forget it?" said Kuchi doubtfully. "I know, I am bad at this. I don't know how to react. I never have been in this sitation, so-"
Hanekke cut off Kuchi's words. "You are a horse. Well, Lucurian horse. It's natural you don't know how to react."
"Not really," snorted Kuchi. "And I don't think that forgetting is the best way to solve such a problem. Sometimes, memories are the best thing you have. But if you still miss Elsye that much, I think that not talking about her anymore is better."
For a while, Hanekke was looking at ground and just quietly standing next to mare.
And then she vacantly said:
