Description "Can you hear me
Are you near me
Can we pretend to leave and then
We’ll meet again, when both our cars collide..?"

about the title, and lyrics above; someone was looking at it, and said she looked like the actor from My Chemical Romance's video clip for Helena. and i thought it just sounded good. meh

the first photo from a "series", i suppose you could say, that i've been promising for a while now. I took my friend to the cemetary in a wedding dress that i'd bought from the op-shop for $5. my brother also apears in the other ones, which shall be coming soon... till then...

model; Anna
makeup; me
photo; me
developed in the darkroom at school

and please, there's a reason why i selected "Encourage advanced critique". don't just tell me its pretty, tell me what you dont like about it.

Well I agree about the borders with Andyyoung, but not about everything else. I like the picture, since it's seems to be supposedly a bit pixelated and harsh in textures. Well done still. The modification of yourpicture by him is also good. But it is more black & white.

yes, Andy is better at using photoshop than i am. actually, he's better at most things than i am.
but i have a better haircut, lol.

the model is actually very tanned, and had alot of freckles, so that's one of the reasons it looks a little harsh

You didn't desaturate it, is prolly why. The scanned images have a blue tint, you need to desaturate it to make it properly black and white. Anyway, this looks heaps better than the original.

very well. i shall tell you what i don't like about it. First of all the negative damage that translates to the image, perhaps you could burn it in a little to make it more even. second there is too much grey. As strange as that might seem, think about it. There isn't much contrast there; no strong blacks at all, and when you put them up against that strong black border, it really shows. I would suggest that exposing it for longer, and using a mild - medium filter should help.... and speaking of the frame IT'S WAY TOO STRONG... sorry.... I am of course talking about the edges on your frame, they are much to sharp when compared to the rest of the image and it throws them off. blur/burn the edges slightly into the picture itself to take away the harshness. same goes for the text. This can easily be done in photoshop. See my 'Solitude' image for reference, I did that on that pic. Um i think thats it for the moment, i will make those alterations for you in photoshop and send you the edit so you will see what i mean. Oh and other than all that, I will now tell you that it's pretty

lol, oh god im an idiot. i've submitted the wrong version because i cant get on the net at school, i just emailed a shitload of photoes to myself, and i didnt bother to look at it properly before submitting. (but dont worry, the 2-minute photoshop job i did wasnt that good anyway).
its not actually negative damage. its the dirty-ass scanner in the graphics room, lmao

but thankyou thankyou thankyou Andy, you're a great help, really *hugs lots* i played around with the image in photoshop this morning, and i will be re-submitting it again later.
