Not just Kirby's universe, I think. ._.

Okay, I just developed this really "out there" theory not too long ago that could explain just about everything in the Kirby series.
Zero is the reincarnated form of Nightmare...or something close to it.
I can legitimately back this up, too!

Wow, that would be very interesting. Sounds kind of out-there I agree, but when you look at it that way, it does make sense in a way. I'm still kind of skeptical about it though.
That would be very interesting though if it was true. It would be like the "Hijacked By Ganon" thing all over again, except here it would be "Hijacked by Nightmare," or "Hijacked by Zero."

Considering some of the revelations you get in the Extra Game (and the text when you 100% it), it seems that Zero seeded the universe with a lot of 'literal genie'-style artifacts. Considering her style, this is actually quite in-character (one should remember some of the schemes she made in the games. Kirby 64's false flag operation is one such case. Then there is the Squeak Squad plan which was just plain mean ; spreading rumors of a false treasure that actually contain materials that turn whoever claim it into an incubator for her newest reincarnation).
On another hand, it is possible that Magolor truly was evil and might even have been a Dark Matter and that the crown possession was Zero overloading him with power and removing his positive emotions (the game description for him as a 'sad shell' is the same as when Zero did the same to the Dark Matter general from Dreamland 2 & 3) to give him a second wind.
I've yet to fully cement my interpretation of that point.

you think it's in character? that's really great! you're literally like the most informed person i've met about zero.
actually, i DO believe that magolor was evil in the beginning, i'm not one of those fangirls that think he's all cute and everything's zero's fault. but that's interesting, to think he might've been a clump of dark matter. but i don't believe he had an eye in his mouth BEFORE he got the master crown. but yeah, i agree that zero helped boost him up with power and tried to keep him alive a bit longer.

I tend to believe Magolor wasn't always evil, but being so close to the Master Crown combined with his dark magic corrupted him. This is backed up by the fact he shows up in Dream Collection as a friendly rival, even having built an amusement park.
