Yep. It'll be called A Vision of Shadows (AVoS for short) and the first book is to be titled The Apprentice's Quest. The main characters will be Squirrelflight's and Bramblestar's two kits, Sparkpaw (a she-cat with a striking resemblance to Firestar) and Alderpaw (a dark ginger tom). I've heard that Lionblaze's and Cinderheart's kits -- Hollytuft (black she-cat, named for Lionblaze's sister Hollyleaf), Sorrelstripe (dark brown she-cat, named for Cinderheart's mother Sorreltail), and Fernsong (yellow tabby tom, named for Ferncloud) -- will also be main characters, but I'm not sure if that's true.
Here's the page on Warriors Wiki for it: warriors.wikia.com/wiki/Catego…
One of the authors also released a complete allegiance list for the first book, which can be found here: erinhunter.katecary.co.uk/excl…

Oh... I had kinda hoped they were done with the main series... like I think its already run very long, it started to loose its momentum around the end of Power of Three and Omen of the Stars. You know what I mean? Like they won't be able to top The Great Battle, that's the worst threat the Clans have and will ever face- and if they change that they are going back on what they've said. I thought there were only going to be extra Super editions and Dawn of the Clans and such.
I'm just a bit disappointed.
Not to mention the Erin's have the Survivors and Seekers series still in progress.

Everyone thought the main series was done and I think most fans were satisfied with that. I know I was.
The Great Battle can't be topped, but it doesn't really have to be. Nothing in TPoT topped the battle against BloodClan or the Clans' necessity to move from the home they've had for 30-40+ years. The Prophecy didn't really do anything until OotS, and even then, the Prophecy didn't come into play until TLH (and even then, the Prophecy didn't do much). So the new series doesn't have to top anything, it just has to prove it's worth existing. So far, it doesn't look like that's what's going to happen, but the series hasn't started yet, so we have time to hope.
Survivors is being written by one person who was allowed to use the Erin Hunter name; none of the Erins that work on the Warriors series work on Survivors. I'm not sure who works on Seekers, though (and that series isn't particularly popular, unfortunately). So those aren't really roadblocks.

Fair enough, although in "Bramblestar's Storm" it DID seem like they were trying to top The Great Battle, or maybe just the Drought, there was this big flood and stuff and even it had a prophecy that didn't actually do much.
I'd just rather learn/read more about like- Whitestorm and how growing up with a aggressive father and no mother went, and Lionheart, Ravenpaw, BloodClan, Graystripe and Silverstream's relationship, what happened to the Tribe, if Mothwing will go to StarClan or somewhere else, Tawnypelt's first year or so when she moved to ShadowClan, stuff like that.
And are you sure about that? Like maybe just one of the five Erin's mainly write the other books? Because otherwise I thought they did write it.
Survivors is nice but its starting to get a little repetitive and having too much 'Oh no, now we gotta run away from this other pack!'
And Seekers is having a bit too much traveling, but I do like the whole shape-shifting and star spirits.
What do you think about Survivors and Seekers?

Prophecies haven't done much as of late anyway, so that wasn't a surprise. xD Bramblestar's Storm was a good book, though (not the best, but it held up okay).
Ooh, yes! More character arcs would be awesome. I wouldn't mind one on Leopardstar, and I think Yellowfang's Secret would have been better if the point of view was from Raggedstar.
Only one Erin writes Survivors. Most of the Erins (the girl who writes Survivors only does that one series) work on Warriors, some of them on Seekers (don't know who, though). Vicky doesn't work on the main Warriors series anymore -- The Last Hope was her last book, I believe. She does do the Super Editions and guide books, though. I think Katy is now the main Erin.
I liked Seekers at first, though Ujurak was kind of annoying. It kinda got boring after a while, though. Survivors is one I couldn't get into. It just bored me. :c

Oooh yes, I forgot about Leopardstar! And Yellowfang's secret would have been cool at Raggedstar's pov, I was kinda disappointed in Yellowfang's secret because most of the story we already knew.
I liked the Ujurak being Ursa minor and his mom being Ursa Major (I just thought that was a cool constellation thing.) But I really liked Tolklo and Tobi, and Lusa. It was cool to see how an animal might see a zoo.
Survivors was a cool look into how a dog would see the world but it aggravated me at times at the unfairness and how they would keep making the same mistakes.

REALLY sorry for the slow reply. ;; I haven't had much time lately.
Yeah, Yellowfang's Secret didn't really reveal anything new. We already know how she thought and felt because she's talked about it and side books have talked about it (like Yellowfang's story in the first field guide -- not everything in that book is canon, but that story of hers is). There was no point in its existence other than to make us feel sorry for Yellowfang again. Raggedstar, however, is a character we know little about. Hell, I'm not even sure he actually loved Yellowfang -- he seemed to see her as more of a possession than a mate. But the book wasn't in his POV, so I guess we'll never know.
The constellation thing WAS cool. That was really creative! And Lusa was my fave. <3 Little energetic cutie. I was disappointed to find out that black bears and brown bears can't mate as I loved LusaxToklo. ;;
Yeah, I haven't heard many good things about Survivors. Just that it had promise but never quite fulfilled it.

No probs,
Yeah, Raggedstar and Yellowfang were certainly no Dustpelt and Ferncloud that's for sure. Though Warriors has never gotten too nitty gritty with romance, partially because its target audience is younger. I did like the thing with Hal (I think that was his name) being his kittypet father. They've done the kittypet mother before but father was interesting.
Heh, that's a cute ship though its ironic because Lusa is so sunshine and optimistic while Tokolo is just like "You all have bees in your brains!"
I think the first and the second book are worth reading. After then it gets a bit repetitive, but a look into how a dog would see the world is pretty cool and how unlike the Clans who accommodate and help lamed or weak cats and feed kits and elders first, they're very strict and the only way to rise up in the pack is to battle a Packmate until they yield.

Relationships never were written particularly well in the series. There are some good, well-rounded couples (like DustxFern, BrackenxSorrel, FirexSand), but they're few and far between.
Raggedstar's parentage was pretty interesting, especially finding out he's related to Russetfur. Their different relations with their shared father was interesting, too.
That's what makes them such a good couple. xD
Hmm, that does sound kind of interesting. I'll have to check out the rest of book 1.
