1 night + 1 afternoon, not bad at all! squished in a deviation before hell week begins, since i know i wont be submitting anything for the next two weeks. i know what you are thinking: FINALLY!!! MAE HAS UPLOADED A HARRY POTTER DEVIATION AFTER A MILLION YEARS!yes yes, i havent stopped being a fan, dont worry. and with the movie and book coming out so soon, i thought i ought to satisfy my (and your) guilty pleasure of hp deviations.
this deviation was based on a picture from the upcoming order of the phoenix movie. what are they so scared of? i dont know. i have a hunch it is grawp, what else could it be? ok, gotta go to work now, cheerio!

yay thanks! that's high praise from you!!! i actually took a picture of a pile of colourful leaves outside my house, resized it to fit the whole picture, put it on a layer above everything else, and then made it transparent. it made all the colours underneath somehow "blend" better.

i just drew the background using a soft brush and slapped some filters on it (noise, blur and sharpen mainly). then i added a semi-transparent blue layer on top of it, burning and dodging certain parts. and then lastly, i took a picture of a pile of colourful leaves outside my apartment, put it on a layer above everything else, and made it transparent. it made all the colours underneath kinda "blend" together and also added some texture!

thank you! i know it isn't rupert grint's fault, but im really bothered that he isnt that tall! yeah, my roommate told me harry looked like a kid next to them, which i took as a good thing
