Shocker is honestly one of Spider-man's most compelling villains despite being a minor foe, because he's not some larger the life scientist who got involved in a mad accident/sabotage, he isn't a corporate business man gone mad and he's not some world ending entity. He's just a regular grudge-less career criminal who actively avoids getting people killed and has been in the business long enough to see himself become a laughingstock through no fault of his own. Plus his psychological issues such as his relatable low self esteem issues that have developed from a long career of perceived failure despite his impressive track record, great experience against heroes, being part of many villain teams of high repute and impressive engineering that has kept him in the game. Not to mention the fact he's got actual PTSD from Scourge of The Underworld murdering most of his bar mates, nearly being murdered by The Punisher at Stilt Man's funeral, Spiderman going ape shit at him in the Symbiote suit and being locked in the boot of a car falling into a river and being buried alive by his own team mates. Lastly his own weapons hurt him despite his padding with their aftershocks which means that even when he's not on the job he's suffering. Honestly i'm ridiculously attached to this B-List character and want to see him be thrown a bone for once. Sorry for the paragraph love the redesign and how it looks home made and jury riggedΒ

Exactly. That's why I like Shocker, too. He is among my top 10 favorite Spider-Man villains. Foe some reason, comic fans and writers tend to dismiss characters before even giving them the chance to develop or, in case of writers, writing good stories for them. The Spot is one of the most unfortunate examples of this, in my opinion.

dude, The Spot is so damn cool if you really think about it, he's essentially a deranged relentless living mass of portals who's thoughts are utterly alien to anyone except himself, seriously would be cool in a movie as a supporting or main villain

Finally someone who likes The Spot! Thank you! The guy is an untouchable teleporter who could take the planet apart if he wanted to with his portals. He's an A level threat based on his powers alone. If writers wanted, they could do some pretty awesome stories with him. The guy who controls metal or the guy with party favors dressed as a clown or a vain politician in the suit of armor are, also, silly ideas, but great stories and constant push by writers and editors gave us Magneto, Joker and Dr. Doom.

yeah, his design isn't even that bad, far from it i love it due to the fact that if you really think about it, he has a really horrifying apperance. Being a featureless pale uncanny valley filled with holes around his body, he should be treated as an eldritch criminal that is highly efficient at both assassinations, robbery and black mail due to the insane utility of his powers. Why he's gonna be a major villain in the stories i've got planned out

His design is great (technical limitations in drawing comics at that time not withstanding). You summed it up perfectly. He is an eldritch abomination, a human that tampered in high science, went where he shouldn't have and came back wrong. His origin is somewhat similar to Lovecraft's "From Beyond", now that I think about it.Β

I like how his mask resembles Iron Man. I always compared the two when I was younger.

Thanks. At first I wanted to give him mask that resembled comic book look more closely (you can see my first draft among my older WIPs), but, then, I liked how this looks more protective.

I feel sorry for Shocker. In the old days, he was a credible villain. Now he's just used as canon foder for jokes. He really is what Peter Parker could have been if he made bad decisions or did have the best support, so he definitely fits into Spidey's Rogues theme of mirror-opposites to peter parker.
That being said, I LOVE what you have done here! His design is fabulous, and I love that you gave him camouflage pants!
