How long did this take? For-freaking-ever!I probably spent atleast 6 hours drawing this. But I guess it was worth it.
Originaly it was supposed to just be some sort of wood elf but it ended up becoming fan art for World of Warcraft, as it is now a blood elf from the awesome game. I know there are lots of flaws for it to be that race but I like the image and I hope you all do too.
I used a reference from the Beautiful stock photos of Check her out, she's got some great photos.
I don't really know what the blue thing is, it started out as some dragon/hawk creature but I got really lazy and just added in a Wisp.
I also had wanted to get away from my repetitive lighting style but that didn't work out too well as you can see. Atleast this time I didn't cheat and use the Lighting effects tab on Photoshop.

Thanks! And 6 hours is a lot for me, although I know most pieces take days at a time if the artist is really persistent about it.

Bam! Loving the background. It works well! Marshy but still feels foreign. The lightplay on her shoulder is my favorite part. It's tangible!
