Honestly, Samurott ALMOST had me, it almost ALMOST was my choice for Gen V, I mean, LOOK at that thing!... But... Serperior is just such a BOSS! And it looks somewhat awesome in it's WHOLE evolutionary line... Sadly, this is not true for Tepig, Pignite and Oshawott... Personal tastes, i'll admit, but I knew from the initial reveal of the starters that I was taking Grass this time. 83
... Those things are just as much arms at this point as a Snake's 'Spurs' are back legs! XD

i actually like the design of dewot and samurott, their only way to different from eachother. The Tepig line sucks though

The Samurott line goes as follows:
1 - Weird otter thing
2 - Not-SO-Bad otter thing
3 - Samurai Sealion with hidden swords!

I went with samurott. Not because of its final evolution, but because the only starters I can really handle other than Treeko are the water types. Plus, I think Oshawott is adorable.

I'm not that good with fire or grass types, but Treeko's such a natural born badass I somehow found the patience to work with it. (Plus my sis that isn't Scarlet always gets the fire types, so yeah)

Serperior is a royal Transylvannian anaconda.
Samurott is a literal sea lion that looks nothing like its pre-evolutions. (AND IT'S NOT WATER/FIGHTING!)
Emboar is just plain ugly.

No clue, but it might've been where both Blaziken and Infernape became so popular, they might've wanted the same to happen to Emboar, or maybe they thaught if it was a pure Fire type, it wouldn't have had much going for it, or maybe they simply believed Samurott wouldn't come accross as 'Fighting type' enough for it to make sense, who knows? XD

I went with samurott.
The gen 5 games were good but the only thing I didnt enjoy was that after you complete the main storyline and after story you dont really do much

I MIGHT'VE gone with Samurott, if i didn't have to grind through that damn clown-otter thing first, to me, the snake that grew thirty foot long was just TOO tempting XD
I know, but ever since the 4th generation, the after-story focus has shifted somewhat from 'Fill up the Pokedex' to 'Online wifi battles'.

I do admit, Samurott has one of the coolest designs going to date, what put me off it though, was having to grind through those other two forms... That's why i prefer Serperior, it looks 'somewhat' cool throughout it evolution line. XD

Fair enough, I like the Serperior line bacause it's a giant damn snake, couldn't really get into the Emboar line and the Samurott line had to go through a stage where it was some weird ass otter, which kind of turned me off... But, to each their own!
