I have a confession; by some eerie and annoying coincidence, it seems like the main character of every other book I read lately is named Claire, and they're all completely devoid of anything resembling a personality. Why aren't there any cool fictional people named Claire? Have you seen one yet?

You know, I have the same problem. Claire is often used for STUPID, annoying old women in movies, and angry lesbians/shallow idiots/senile grandmothers in books. I used to really like my name. Now I'm feeling sort of uneasy.

OH! And on the topic of vampire fiction, I've experienced another omen.
My mom, being so concerned about getting me to grow up into a responsible adult, had me do this motivation exercise which involved me inventing my dream world (which I've dubbed, 'Artsy-Fartsy Land'
And then today I was on Amazon and guess how much a used copy is currently being sold for? You might want to get one of your parents to whip out their credit cards, like, FAST.
