Woah, this is a wonderful photo. You caught the horses curious yet magical expression. Its almost like a image out of anyones dreams. Only a gorgeus stallion missing beside the horse

Thank you very much!
I guess if you added two balls he would still be a stallion ^^

I know the feeling...

This is a beautiful photo. I love the darkened edges too---it makes the horse stand out a lot more. I also love the swishing tail. Lovely work

Oh yes!
My mood is so strongly connected to what happens at stable

When my horse is ill, I feel depressed, and I'm cheered up for DAYs when I had a great riding lesson

haha. I know that feeling as well.
So i try to not do to much in the stable the days I'm feeling irritated. Cause then everything will just go to shit anyways. And just strolling around with then cheers me up

Yeah sometimes it's better not to ride. I'm a very emotional person and it is possible that I am impatient and unfair when I'm in bad mood.

May I ask, what style do you ride? Are you starting on competitions?

blackseagull In reply to EscyKane [2010-08-17 17:26:54 +0000 UTC]

Yep. I see many people like that who can't control themselves. It's a shame that they can't decide to take the day off.

I was trained english style. But I can't say I ride "english" cause I don't really. I later ventured into the academic art of riding and ended up somewhere between english, classic and shambling around in the woods.
I don't even ride that much anymore at all actually.

Nope, Don't compete. Did when I was younger but cannot justify that anymore.

Oh, Academic Art of riding from Bent Branderup?
Yeah I had a time when I tried to follow Philippe Karl's philosophy, and there of course were a lot of great ideas tht helped us a lot, but in the end my horse wasn't happy with this style. And he never lifted his back as well as he did in conventional dressage training.
So I went "back to the roots" and I'm now riding "English" again (my idol is Ingrid Klimke!), but I've some ideas from École de Légèreté in my mind when something doesn't work with english methods.
I think it's really the best to go through the world with open eyes.

I don't compete anymore, too. It's too stressful for me and I never enjoyed it. I only did this because my riding teacher I had at this time forced me to compete I was pretty successful, but when my riding teacher moved to another city, I ended with that X-D

Oh I remember taking a similar photo, I felt it was so beautiful I was almost crying. and the scene wasn't half as dreamlike as THIS ONE... it's amazing. Wake me up at 2am and I tell you that was what I saw in my dream very awesome shot.

The structures of the field add a lot to the image as well, I love how the field indicates a perspective grid.

BEAUTIFUL... truely beautiful

sounds wonderful nonetheless.

Oh yes I agree. That field usually makes a good background. But sometimes I feel it's just too green ^^

Thank you!
