So who do we have here? It's a bit disappointing that the description here doesn't have a brief summary of who this OC is and to what franchises/fandoms she is a part of/draws inspiration from. But no biggie, because right of the gate she is making a strong first impression. I like the use of focus (in a resolution sense, aka clarity or lack of fuzz in layman terms) to draw attention to several important features, such as Filaani's face while also potentially pointing out parts of her body that may be in motion causing the blur effect in certain regions of the drawing. What I'm saying is that this photo has the impression that Filaani was "striking a pose", and a camera captures a still shot of her while in motion. Kind of like a character introduction animation in a video game. So her outstretched hand and torso lack the same clarity as her face because they're in motion, and this effect accentuates the kinetic movement captured in still. Nice job. Now this may or may not have been your intent, but as it stands I feel a movement technique was illustrated very well here.

Though what is disappointing is the lack of focus on the sword holster strapped onto Filanni's back as well as what she is holding in her hand. What she's wearing and the weaponry she is carrying are important additions to Filaani's idiosyncrasies, and this painting is my first impression as to who she is (character wise) and how she acts (her personality). If there is other media in which Filanni is in (other artwork, a novel, game, indie project, exeter), this drawing right here is my first glimpse. So as I skim this over from top to bottom, I'm looking for clues about the setting (time, place, major themes) which you've placed here. And I've got the scar on her face, her sword, her her hair color, and what it is she is holding in her hand. It's a lot of awesome to take in, yet it isn't very explicit. It's left to interpretation (which is fine!!!), so I as some who may be curious, would have to venture on my own to find out more about Filaani and the universe she is in. Which could be hard because of the lack of info or links in the description (timelapse aside). This isn't really a criticism as it is me pointing out a missed opportunity. Filaani looks awesome both here and in general, but if I were to want to find out more, my starting point I guess is your DA channel. Since I've been invested right here, this page is a good point to direct me in the right direction to find out more. 

A female fighter and a female warrior says the tags, but to what and where? I guess I'm to find out soon. You did great job, and I in particular like Filaani's reflective, bright, green eyes which really draw attention. Great job, and hope your work earns you the notoriety you deserve in the future.
