Huh. Imagine if he had armor similar to ones on his feet and chest all over those spotted pieces... Maybe Toei would bring him back to show, no more drawing spots

That's probably what Cell would look like if he unlocked his "latent potential".
Once he absorbed the androids he thought he had reached "Perfection", and didn't bother trying to push it further. As Piccolo putΒ it "He's a walking talking Petri dish of the galaxy's strongest fighters.
"Golden Cell" just sounds redundant. Instead whenΒ I think of Cell evolved I think ofΒ a Black Hole, something with gravity so strong not even light can escape it.
