unfortunately Akira and Sarah don't have parents since they grew up in the octarian army.

Johnathan is hard working but also quite neglectful. he always puts his work ahead of his family and doesn't take care of his son and daughter. Roxanne despite the lack of attention didn't seem to mind and mostly played with her older brother mason. however after mason turned 14 he would disown him for a reason unknown to Roxanne at the time. after that she started to resent him and ran away to inkopolois to start a new life and find her older brother.

Disclaimer I've renamed Tyrone's martial art to firefly phoenix fist cus I wasn't happy with the last name just wanted to let you know to avoid confusion.

Makenzie on the other hand is strong willed protective and kind. she lost her husband a long time ago before her son Tyrone was born and ever since then what little family she had meant everything to her. she never let the weight of loss get the better of her and raised her kids as a single mother. unfortunately their home in splatsVille would come under attack from the octarian army. she would give Tyrone her favorite blue leather jacket and send him away to inkopolis before the attack started while she stayed behind and fought so he could have time to escape. thankfully Makenzie survived the attack and even managed to knock out one of the three octarian captains during the attack but her whereabouts to this day are unknown.

despite her appearance she is an insanely tough fighter. she's a master of the firefly phoenix fist martial art and is the one who taught Tyrone how to fight. theirs very few inklings or octolings who can challenge her hand to hand. she also has a form of special energy manipulation where she can control huge bursts of ink output by channeling her emotions. tyrone has yet to learn this technique.
