Let me know if I'm looking too much into things. This is what I think. This picture has a purpose and it tells of it in a way that although seemingly simple, the message goes past people's awareness. Like there was once a person who has since disappeared from the current relevancy of the collective conscious because all who knew this person has either died or is about to. Even the dragon or spirit of that era has been reduced to a crumbled skeletal structure in the background. So it's indeed, fragments blowing away like specs of dust in the wind.

Yes, that's exactly it. My Grandma could only remember the empty spaces of people who were once very important to her but not the people themselves. Up until the day she died she could name all five of her sons but couldn't remember anything about the two who had died or what had happened to them. She'd ask about one of them sometimes but the other ceased to exist in her mind. Also, people with Alzheimer's have holes in their brains where the memories are stored.

Wow, I did--Really?! That's what the picture showed me. I've heard something similar via youtube vids on Alzheimer's as well. Once again, I'm so sorry for your loss.
