There is a wire that goes through his arm and the bowl. Though gluing him might've worked as well, but wire just seems sturdier.

Yeah, that's a huge bummer and seeing the flashback scenes is great. It's kind of crazy that what was the obvious desire in seeing everyone grown up wasn't what they went for in a new show, but I like the new show all the same. Curious to see if Zuko being alive will mean he's the mysterious firebender that has managed to kill family members of almost everyone the show has introduced so far, lol

All the feels, ALL OF THEM. I do hope we get to see the rest of the world and how it's changed, I like Republic City but I wanna see more. From what it said on the wiki (and we all know how 100% accurate wikis are haha) Zuko is now an ambassador for world balance after giving the throne to his daughter.
I am guessing that Katara will die within the series though, Aunt Wu did say that thing about passing away in her sleep after her third great grandchild. Seeing as Tenzin is the youngest at 51 the other kids must have grandchildren themselves.

Hesitated to write earlier because the new episode is impossible not to talk about, lol. I've had the same feeling about the "new world" so to speak that they're in since the beginning, must be really hard for writers to know how to introduce and keep interesting all of these things to new and old audiences. Can't help but feel Katara will be in next week's episode either presently or in a flash back.

Basically someone compiled some scenes from season 1 talking about how the forehead is the point of illusion. The consensus seems to be that Amon's power isn't permanent and probably something that can be overcome which is great because Lin has been basically my favorite character for the last few weeks lol. It felt like that almost had to be true because taking away the bending of one of the best characters so far is on the level of people dying in Game of Thrones lol.

Oh yes I have seen that. I was going to say that for Aang it took a lot more and he was nearly corrupted but of course they showed him doing it again and it was easy lol. My theory/guess is since Energybending was said to be able to impart knowledge (like the Lionturtle did to Aang) then it could be used to give someone their bending back or...force bending knowledge into them.
Though with Amon he is technically a bender, an unbender *hyukhyuk* It really is like the kid friendly version of killing your characters! Those evil geniuses. I just find it mean we have to wait so long for the second season.

That's a neat theory, so not necessarily that Amon's energy-bending is an illusion but that Katara could return it to the benders?
And how long is the wait for S2? I haven't had a chance to experience the horror of cringing at my calendar.

I just think having their powers return without some avatar intervention would be missing out on something. We'll just have to see though, I am often (always) wrong XD
They haven't even announced when it'll premiere, they said it WON'T be another 2 years but that's not very reassuring. I do know they have been working on it so let's hope fall/winter

I saw the creators did an interview with the WSJ recently talking about that, I guess they have it written but storyboarding and animating and all that is apparently going to take a millions billions years: [link]

AUGH, overall it was a great close to the season but there were so many little things I was nitpicking in my head throughout lol. The boat explosion was probably the very best scene, but it really sucks not to get an explanation or any further development on those characters.

I was surprised they had that scene, OH LORD THEY SHOWED SOMEONE DYING! Don't worry I was nitpicking too but I think it's because it felt very rushed at the end. Maybe they weren't sure they were going to get picked up for another season and wanted everything wrapped up.
