I fought the strong desire to wrap my arms around him and claim him as my property. Especially after he winked at those girls. I decided to take him to the cinema surely nothing could go wrong there. I sighed and shook my head it would be like a normal date. Well as normal as it could be when the guy holding your hand had pointy ears and teeth, green hair and could teleport. Geez what had my life come to. I gave him a reassuring smile as we reached the cinema. I had a nose at what film was on. I had all but one choice, Godzilla, and it wasn't even the new version. We seriously needed a better movie theatre.
I reluctantly handed over the money for two tickets and dragged Kish in by the arm. Inside it was dark and gloomy even with the dull glow of the theatre lights. I chose seats near the back so we were left alone and because it wasn't so close to the screen I got a crick in my neck. Kish sat beside me and was twisting his hands nervously.
'Don't worry we're just going to watch a movie. It's projected from behind us onto that big screen over there. We watch them for fun.' Kish seemed to relax as I explained. He even nodded.
'We have something similar back home.' I gave him a smile as the lights dimmed and the poorly dubbed Japanese film began. I leant in close to him, resting my head on his shoulder. I wasn't even paying attention to the film. I could feel his heartbeat in his chest. A rhythmic pounding that was so comforting I felt my eyelids droop. It was completely weird. I felt this safe in the company of a guy who had tried to destroy my whole world.
I felt someone shake me gently and I opened one eye. The lights were up and the theatre was empty. I must have slept through the entire film. Blushing I sat up straight and flattened my hair.
'So,' I said guiltily. 'Did you enjoy the film?' He gave me a cheeky grin and I bit my lip.
'It was … interesting,' he told me cryptically. I rolled my eyes hoping it hadn't given him any ideas. We left the cinema together my hand somehow finding its way into his and he looked at it with a rare vulnerable smile. It was like even he couldn't believe we were finally together. I shook my head and looked around trying to think of something else to occupy him. I couldn't take him to the café yet. It was far too soon.
My phone jangled in my pocket and I pulled it out. It was a message from Ryou, café business. I looked up at Kish who was inspecting some plants nearby curiously and told him I'd meet him at home. I waved goodbye quickly and jogged off.

She left him. Kish stared after her for a moment before letting his shoulders slump. Okay so she hadn't really left him she was just going off to do whatever it was the boy who ran the café needed her to do. Shoving his hands into the pockets of his human attire he sauntered off down the street and taking uninterested glances at the surroundings. It was hard to believe that only five years ago he'd been fighting to take over this planet. Still he was glad that they had found an alternate solution instead.
He headed over to the park to wander around for a while. Wasting away the time before he could be himself in the company of Ichigo, he would kiss her again. It had certainly been an encouraging reaction when he'd done it the first time.
In the park he walked around the fountain and watching the older humans with their young throwing round metal things into the middle. It was an odd ritual but they seemed to be enjoying themselves. He mooched over to a tree and sat under it pulling up bits and pieces of the grass around him and flicking stones in a rather bored manner.
It would be more fun if Ichigo was here to share it with him but again he'd have to wait until later. Making sure he wasn't seen Kish teleported himself to the café. Although he stood a little way off he could see the many people coming and going from the busy place. He watched a little longer until he felt someone's presence beside him. Without turning he muttered a hello to Taruto.
'How'd you know it was me?' he asked huffing but Kish just rolled his eyes.
'You weren't quiet enough. Is Ichigo in there?'
'No have you spoken to her yet?'
'Yes,' Kish sighed. 'So where is she then?' Taruto shrugged and poked out his tongue.
'They went on a mission, Pudding too.' He folded his arms and gave Kish and intense look. 'Was she happy to see you?' Kish smiled and nodded. He'd quiet forgotten that Taruto had grown up since the last time he'd seen him. He was still short but definitely seemed older. He was glad in a way that Taruto was okay and even seemed happy that gave him confidence that he too would fit in nicely with everyone else. He'd already won Ichigo but that was half the battle. The rest lay in convincing her friends that he was a decent person who would love Ichigo for the rest of her life. That wouldn't be easy and he knew he had many trials ahead.
Still watching the café absentmindedly he saw Masaya stroll in. he watched closely as the boy left almost immediately after entering as though whatever he'd gone there for was not there any more. Kish felt his jealousy rise but he knew better than to let it take over. Ichigo was his now and she wouldn't go back to him. Would she?
'I'm just going to go for a stroll,' he told Taruto who nodded and teleported away. To where Kish didn't know but for now he was just going to follow Masaya. Not because he was worried or anything but just curious as to why the guy was visiting the café and what not. For Ichigo's protection he convinced himself.
Masaya wasn't going fast but he wasn't dawdling. He seemed to know where he was going and that ignited Kish's curiosity. He was almost certain that Masaya had gone to the café to seek out Ichigo. Probably realising what he's lost and trying to win her back. Well that was his problem and Kish wasn't giving her up without a fight.
