Super Gyaos Swarm the city of Kyoto, where Gamera is injured by the intense battle with Irys. Gamera is surrounded, and knows this is the end. Using all of the mana within 50 miles, Gamera explodes with the force of a megaton bomb, Killing the massive hoard of gyaos along with him. Thus, the gaurdian of the universe dies in a selfless sacrifice to save humanity. with Gamera dead, along with most of the gyaos, Kaiju activity is at zero, giving the jsdf valuble time to rebuild their cities.

33 years later, one of the survivors from the Kyoto attack lives in Iseshima. His wife is killed in a car accident, and his son, Toru, is having a hard time coping. While playing on the beach, the boy finds an egg sitting atop a glowing red stone. The egg hatches in his hand, and an average looking turtle appears. Toru decides to keep him (despite his fathers strict rule about not having pets), and names the turtle Toto, after his mother's nickname for him. but, soon Toru discovers that this is no ordianary turtle when it begins hovering and shooting fireballs. Toru's neighbor, Mai, recognises these traits as that of Gamera and so theorizes that Toto is the decendant of the Gaurdian of the universe. Toru is shocked to think that Toto might someday be such a powerful and feared kaiju, but he still keeps him.

Toto is growing fast, and is soon to big to hide from his father, so he moves him to the shed. but one day, Toto is gone. soon afterward, ships off the coast of Iseshima are being destroyed, and soon the culprit is revealed. Zedus, a monsterous frilled kaiju appears in the city. Zedus corners and eats over 100 villagers, and nearly kills Toru and his father, but then Toto appears, fighting off Zedus for just long enough for them to escape. but Toto is no match for Zedus, and he barely escapes with his life. Suffering from a deep gash in his neck, Toto goes unconcious and the military study him. They hook him up to a machine that wil make him more powerful by feeding him a liquid version of the strange red stones. Zedus attacks again, and a much larger and more powerful Toto appears to fight him. but, in order to be as powerful as his predesesor, Toto needs to eat the stone upon which his egg rested. Mai, now in the hospital for an operation, realises the stone's importance. She passes the stone off to another child, who continues to pass it to other children. all the while repeating the words "For Toto!" soon, Toru has the stone, while Toto is stuck in a building. Toru feeds the stone to him, making Toto a fully-powered Gamera. Toto flies away from the building on his rocket jets and attacks Zedus. Now full sized, and sporting Tusks, Toto is able to defeat Zedus. He grabs his powerful spear-like tongue and rips it off! Zedus reel back in pain while Toto's eyes begin to glow. Toto blast Zedus witha superpowered fireball, blowing the evil kaiju to bits! having saved the day, Toto flies off into the sunset. Toru watches him go and says, "Goodbye... Gamera"

Powers: Zedus is an extrordinarily agile kaiju, making jumps much farther than his body length and moving and running at high speeds. his greatest weapon is his long tongue which is ended in a spear-like projection.

{so sorry for this taking so long, I've had a lot of things to do recently, and I just hadn't gotten around to posting this. design-wise, I changed him a lot. people often say that Zedus looked too much like Godzilla did, so I changed his stance to look more like an allosaurus. also, I found the multiple spikes on his back to be over-doing it by a lot, so I made them one row instead. Hope you guys like it! I'm almost done with the Gamera bit of this series!)
